The Elephant Man
This piece was originally done for the David Lynch show "In Dreams" at Spoke Art in San Francisco. The painting depicts the elephant man in the hood that he wore when he went out of the house, a blooming Blue Lotus flower a symbol of beauty and an X-ray image of Joseph Merrick's twisted skeleton. This piece is less of a display of his abnormalities and more of a reminder that we are all unique and similar.
